- on the initiative of Janja Korošec Žižek, Dinko Fio, professor of music from Zagreb, established a 'Central Choir of Maribor'
- on the second rehearsal, the choir is taken over by Branko Rajšter
1965
- first appearance in public at the Youth Choir Festival, Celje

- the choir consists of 66 singers, aged from 10 to 15 years

- first concert abroad: sole concert in Graz (Austria), Stefaniensahl Hall
